Led Zepplin

With Jimmy page on guitar , John Bonham on drums, and John Paul Jones on base,  Led Zepplin where unstoppable.  They began as The Yardbirds and released their first album in 1969 debuting their unique psychedelic heavy metal blues sound. in 1966 jimmy page joined the blues influenced rock band The yardbirds to replace bassist Paul Sam well smith. Shortly after page switched from bass to lead guitar. This created a dual lad guitar line up with Jeff Beck. The same year, beck left the band. they went through some line up changes, and ended up with Jimmy page on guitar , John Bonham on drums, and John Paul Jones on base. they went on a scandinavian tour as the yardbirds. Later that year they changed their name to led zepplin. Their song "Stairway to heaven" Was a masterpiece. It was the most requested song on FM Radio stations
in the United States in the 1970s, despite never having been
officially released as a single there. They achieved massive commercial success and are still a household name today. Sadly the bands drummer died of inhaling his own vomit in his sleep after drinking binge. they broke up shortly after this tragic event.
